Rajasthan Borewell News: Three year old Chetna is still trapped in a 700 feet deep borewell in Kotputli, Rajasthan. Today is Tuesday, the 9th day, but Chetna has not been taken out. It is not possible to know what is the condition of the hungry and thirsty innocent girl. She is not even doing any movement. Chetna is hanging from a hook at a depth of 120 feet.

NDRF personnel are digging a tunnel by descending into the pit dug to rescue Chetna. The administration and NDRF had claimed that the girl would be taken out on Monday, but this could not happen. A team of two soldiers is digging inside for about 20-25 minutes, then they are taken out and another team is being sent down. Similarly, the process of making the tunnel is continuing. Oxygen has been arranged for the soldiers, but due to being at great depth, they are having trouble breathing.

Efforts to rescue Chetna have been going on for nine days.

Three-year-old Chetna had fallen into a 700 feet deep borewell while playing at 2 pm on December 23 (Monday). Chetna was stuck at a depth of about 150 feet, she was pulled up thirty feet with the help of indigenous jugaad. Now she is hanging from a hook at 120 feet. Since December 23, Chetna has not received any food or water. She is not doing any movement since the evening of 24th December. Even the officials are not saying anything about his condition.

What happened on which day?

23 December:

Three-year-old girl Chetna fell into the borewell at around 1:50 pm in Badiyali Dhani of Kiratpura area of ​​Kotputli. After about 10 minutes, the family heard the girl crying and then came to know that she had fallen into the borewell. The family members immediately informed the administration. The administration team along with NDRF and SDRF reached the spot at 2:30 pm. The medical team reached the spot at 3:20. At 3:45, oxygen was supplied to the girl through a pipe. Rescue operation was started at 5:15. At 8:45 pm, Desi Jugaad expert Jagram arrived with his team to rescue the girl. On the same day, till 3 o’clock in the night, two attempts were made to rescue the girl using umbrella and ring rod, but both were unsuccessful.

24 December: The administration became active again from 5:30 am. The officials took permission from the family members to take Chetna out by entangling her in a hook. By 9:30 the girl was pulled up 15 feet. After continuous failure, the administration ordered a piling machine from Gurugram, Haryana to dig a parallel pit. The machine reached the spot at around 11 pm.

25 December: The work of digging the pit with piling machine started from 8:00 am. After completing 40 feet of tunnel by 1 pm, the piling machine was stopped. The 4 feet thick bit has been assembled with five piling machines in the evening. The rescue operation was started once again at 5:30. At 6 pm, another piling machine of 200 feet capacity reached the spot. Another team also came from Gujarat to run it. Rate Miner’s team reached at eight o’clock. At nine o’clock the health of the girl’s mother Gholi Devi deteriorated. Kotputli-Behror Collector Kalpana Aggarwal reached the spot at 11 pm.

26 December: The piling machine was stopped at 10 am due to arrival of stones. The stone was cut by machine in six hours. The depth of the pit was checked at around 6 pm, after which the piling machine was removed. At 6:30, installation of safety pipes in the pit started using cranes.

27 December: By around 12 noon, iron pipes were fitted in the pit dug 170 feet deep. At 12:40, a 100 tonne capacity machine was called to the spot to lift the weight of these pipes. At around 1 o’clock the pipe welding work stopped due to rain due to changing weather. The welding work was started again at five in the evening, which continued till late night.

28 December: A team of 6 NDRF soldiers was formed. Two soldiers each were lowered into 170 deep pits to dig the tunnel. These soldiers dug a four feet tunnel.

29 December: The digging of the tunnel continued, a compressor machine was called to break the stones coming in between. Called this expert and understood the technique of stone cutting.

30 December: Administration and NDRF officials claimed that Chetna will be taken out today (Monday). But, it was again delayed due to stones and other reasons. The soldiers digging the tunnel also had trouble breathing inside.
