Recently Abhay Deol has spoken openly about his family. In an interview given to Filmfare, Abhay Deol told that his family is very conservative. This is why girls are allowed to work in our family, but not in films.
Was not allowed to meet with Starkids
Abhay Deol while talking to Filmfare revealed many secrets of the family. In which Abhay Deol told, ‘When we were growing up, our family was quite conservative. We lived in a joint family. There were a total of 7 children in the family including me. I was exposed to films since childhood because of my uncle and father. Our father and uncle were very humble and came from village environment. For him, the big city and glamor was quite alien and unknown. He wanted to follow his family’s small town values. We were not allowed to go to film parties nor to mingle with the children of Starkids. I could not understand these things at that time, but he was protecting us.
Such was the reaction regarding the selection of unique films.
Despite being from a film family, Abhay Deol has created a special image for himself in Bollywood. Abhay has done many great films in his career. It is quite unique for starkids to work in films like Devadi. Abhay Deol told how his reaction has been regarding the unique choice of his films. Abhay said, ‘I have made my own place in the industry. Initially everyone was shocked by my choice of films. Also got very upset. But later they understood. I always wanted to become either a lawyer or an actor. I have been prone to debates and lawyers since childhood.
