Female Doctor Raped and Murdered:
Police have arrested an accused involved in the murder of a female doctor at Kolkata’s Government RG Kar Medical College and Hospital. Police said that the accused person is not associated with the hospital, but used to visit various departments of the medical institute frequently. The police officer said that the arrested accused is an outsider. His suspicious activities indicate that he was involved in this incident. The staff and students of the medical college have come out on the streets demanding the arrest of the accused and strict punishment.
Even the intern was questioned late at night
The police also questioned two intern doctors on Friday night in connection with the investigation into the death of the PGT female doctor. The body of the PGT female doctor, who was on duty, was found in a semi-nude state in the seminar hall of a government hospital in Kolkata on Friday.
The body was recovered in the presence of the family
Senior Kolkata Police officer CP Vineet Goyal said that whatever has happened is very unfortunate. We are very sad about it. A complaint has been lodged under section of murder at Tala police station at 10.30 am. The body was recovered in the presence of judicial magistrate and students and in front of his family.
SIT team was formed
The postmortem was also videographed, in which students and doctors were present. The police have formed a 7-member SIT. ADL CP is investigating it. CP Vinod Goyal said that we have collected whatever evidence we found. A suspect has been arrested in this case.
Rape before murder
Let us tell you that the female doctor was a second year student of the chest disease department of the hospital. Hospital sources said that injury marks were found on the doctor’s body. The lady doctor’s father had alleged that his daughter was raped and murdered in the hospital and now an attempt is being made to hide the truth. Police also said that the initial post-mortem report has confirmed that the lady doctor was sexually assaulted before being murdered.
