New Delhi: The way actress Swara Bhaskar was holding election rallies, it seemed that her husband Fahad Ahmed would register a big victory in the assembly elections. But the results were quite contrary to their expectations. He has lost to BJP-backed NCP (Ajit Pawar faction) candidate Sana Malik. Fahad Ahmed has claimed that he was ahead till 17 rounds, but whenever EVMs with 99% battery were opened, Sana Khan got two or three times lead. He has requested the Election Commission for recounting from 16th to 19th round. He has tried to reach his point to the Election Commission through a video.
Fahad Ahmed has shared a video after the defeat, in which he is saying, ‘My name is Fahad Ahmed, I was a candidate for Anushakti Nagar assembly from Sharad Pawar’s NCP faction. As you were seeing on the Election Commission website, I was continuously leading. Was leading even till the 17th round. There were total 19 rounds and then a mystery starts that the EVMs which were running from 7 am to 6 pm on the voting day, their 99% battery is drained and wherever that 99% battery is drained, the one in front of me is in it. Candidate Sana Malik ji was getting double the votes than me.
After round 16 and a steady lead in all rounds.. EVM machines that were 99% charged were opened and BJP supported NCP Ajit Pawar candidate took a lead.. @ECISVEEP @SpokespersonECI this is rank manipulation. We demand a recount of rounds 16, 17, 18 and 19. pic.twitter.com/Z2JuUyIQqc
