The Great Indian Kapil Show:
Ed Sheeran turned The Great Indian Kapil Show into a musical night. The Grammy-winning singer performed his famous songs alongside “Kisi Ki Muskarahto” by Mukesh from Raj Kapoor’s Anari.
The The Great Indian Kapil Show began with Ed singing “The Shape of You” with Punjabi beats. Later, Archana mentioned to Ed that Kapil Sharma is a good singer, prompting Kapil to insist on teaching his guest a Hindi song. Kapil sang “Kisi Ki Muskurahto” from Raj Kapoor’s Anari, while Ed repeated the lines, syncing with the tune. Kapil and the audience cheered for Ed’s attempt at grasping Hindi lyrics.
During the conversation on the The Great Indian Kapil Show, Ed told about the weirdest cuisine he had ever tasted during his foreign tour for his musical concerts. Ed recalled dining at a restaurant in Japan and eating fish sperm from the chef’s menu.
Ed said when you go to a sushi restaurant, the chef makes stuff and puts fish sperm down. It will be like Nilgiri or other little things. Usually, it’s called Shirako. It’s basically a testicle that you eat, and it explodes in your mouth. Some people love it, but I’m not a big fan of it.The audience, including Kapil and Archana Puran Singh, were left surprised and laughed at the guest’s honest confession.
The singer who composed “Shape of You” also expressed his gratitude for his recent meeting with Shah Rukh Khan at his house. He even demonstrated the actor’s iconic arms-stretched-wide pose, commenting on how Shah Rukh, despite being such a big star, is also a loving person.
Ed reunited with Farah Khan, whom he met during his last visit to India at the Torii restaurant owned by Gauri Khan in Mumbai. Shah Rukh and Gauri Khan also joined them. Other celebrities who met Ed included Jacky Bhagnani, Huma Qureshi, Malaika Arora, Rajkummar Rao, Rakul Preet Singh, Madhuri Dixit, and Munawar Faruqui.
