In winter, definitely include Bathua in your diet in some way. Although people make a lot of Bathua saag, Bathua roti, Bathua paratha and Bathua puri, but have you ever eaten Bathua raita? Bathua’s raita tastes very tasty. Bathua helps in keeping the body warm. Adding Mathua to curd and eating it changes its taste. This provides the body with essential vitamins, minerals and nutrition. So do you know the recipe of making Bathua Raita?
Bathua Raita Recipe
First step- Making Bathua Raita is very easy. For this you have to take Bathua with clean and green leaves. Wash the Bathua thoroughly and cut it. Now you can make raita in two ways. One by boiling and one by cutting raw.
Second step- The raita made by boiling bathua tastes more delicious. For this, roughly chop the Bathua i.e. cut it thickly and keep it in a pan or cooker to boil. Since Bathua is a leafy vegetable, it boils very quickly. Bathua gets boiled in just 1-2 whistles.
Third step- Now squeeze out the water from the bathua and put it in a mixer and peel it finely. If you have a cob, you can grind bathua on it also. Now blend the curd and make it thin. Mix ground Bathua in it. Mix about 2 spoons of ground Bathua in 1 bowl of curd.
Fourth step- Add black salt and chaat masala to the raita and mix. Now heat 1 teaspoon mustard oil in a pan or ladle. Add fenugreek seeds to oil, add asafoetida and 2 cloves of finely chopped garlic. Break 1 dried red chilli into it and add 1 pinch of ground red chilli. Now add this prepared tadka to the raita and cover it immediately.
Fifth step- Bathua’s delicious raita is ready. You can add more white salt as per your requirement. If you like spicy raita then you can increase more chillies. You can make the raita as thin or thick as per your choice. You will enjoy eating it with roti and rice.
