The mastermint of the 26/11 Mumbai attack, Tehwwur Rana has been dragged from America to India after 16 years. The court has sent Tahwwur to NIA custody for 18 days. Now this agency will interrogate the accused about the entire conspiracy of the 2008 attacks. Bringing this accused back to India was as sensitive, it was equally expensive. Let us tell you how much money did the government spend to bring Tehwavur Rana back to India.
Rana returned from which plane
According to the reports, the plane from which this terrorist has been brought to India is a luxury charter plane, named Gulf Stream G-550, which is around Rs 9 lakh per hour. This charter jet was rented through aircraft charter service. In this, Rana was brought to India from Miami, USA. The aircraft left Miami at around 2:15 (according to local time) at midnight on Wednesday and reached Romania’s capital Bukharest around 7 pm on the same day.
How much cost
Here the plane was given a break of about 11 hours and then the next day it flew on Thursday and landed around 6:22 pm at Palam Airport in Delhi. It took about 40 hours to travel this entire journey. In such a situation, about 4 crore rupees have been spent on this journey. Whereas if someone also makes a general business class ticket from Miami to Delhi, then it costs 4 lakh rupees for it. If seen, according to this, the Government of India has spent 100 times more money to bring back Tehwavur.
Why expenses for terrorist so much money
In such a situation, the question is also why such a huge amount was spent to bring back a terrorist. The simple answer is in terms of security. Actually Tahwwur is a high-profile terrorist. In such a situation, both India and America have taken a lot of caution to bring it back. That is why the charter only saw a better option, so that any untoward could be avoided, because it was very important to bring Tahwwur to India.
