Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr Lose Saudi King’s Cup Final 2024 to Al Hilal on Penalties

The must awaited final clash between Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr and Mitrovic’s Al-Hilal held at the iconic King Abdullah Sports City International Stadium in Jeddah on Friday, 31st May 2024.

The intense rivalry between two of Saudi Arabia’s football giants was ended in a dramatic penalty shootout, with Al-Hilal emerging victorious 5-4 after a hard-fought 1-1 draw in regular and extra time.

Both the teams have shown their resilience and dedication to overcome all the barriers and cemented their position in the epic showdown of Saudi King’s cup final 2024.

Al Hilal under the guidence Romanian Lucescu, cemented its position in the finale with table topper and high points as compared to Al-Nassr. Al-Hilal with their solid attacking and defensive organized set-up aimed yet another title to add up the trophy count.

The first half was in the name of Al-Hilal. Al-Hilal started positively, pass the ball with ease and also control the possession against the opponent. Their early dominance paid off in the 7th minute when Mitrovic headed the ball to the goal post, the ball was passed by Malcom. Fans was ecstatic by the wonderful performance of their team.

Second Half: The Equaliser:

The second half began with strong determination by both the teams. While Al-Nassr found the opportunity to eqalise the goal difference, on the other hand Al-Hilal seize the opportunity and tried to maximize the goal diference.

Accordingly, this second half is in the name of Al-Nassr. In 88 minutes, Ayman Yahya equalise the goal difference. Fans overjoyed and roared in the stadium of Jeddah.

Penalty Shootout:

In penalty shoot out Al-Hilal hold their nerves and win the final cup title with 5-4 margin. This is the second consecutive victory for Al-Hilal of the King’s cup trophy.

The 2024 Saudi King’s Cup final will be remembered as one of the most thrilling and dramatic matches in recent memory. Al-Hilal’s victory over Al-Nassr not only showcased the high level of football in Saudi Arabia but also highlighted the intense rivalry.

It was heartbreaking moment for Christiano Ronaldo and after losing the match, Ronaldo was seen into tears in his eyes.

But one soothing moment was there pertaining to Al-Nassr team as Ronaldo scored 35 goals in a season. And therefore, he broke the record of former Al Nassr star, Abderrazak Hamdallah, who scored 34 goals in the 2019 season.
