Spice Jet Crew Member Slaps:

A Spice Jet crew member slapped a CISF (Central Industrial Security Force) ASI at Jaipur Airport in Rajasthan. The dispute between the two started over a female crew member trying to enter without checking. After a brief argument, the woman slapped the SI. A case has been registered against the accused woman and she has been arrested. The airline has called it a serious case of sexual harassment.

A CCTV video of this incident has surfaced, in which the CISF officer is seen talking to the woman. During this, the woman suddenly takes two steps forward and then slaps the ASI. After this, a woman constable takes her to the other side.

Police have registered a case of assault against Anuradha Rani on the complaint of the CISF officer. The airline has also contacted the local police and said that it is taking legal action. SpiceJet spokesperson alleged that their employee was abused. The CISF officer also asked her to come and meet him at home after duty hours. Police initially said that Anuradha worked as a food supervisor. The airline has described her as a female security staff member.

DCP Kavendra Singh said that the woman has been arrested and her statement is being recorded. The woman has also filed a complaint. We are investigating the facts, after which appropriate action will be taken.

CISF ASI's Allegation:

Actually, Spice Jet crew member Anuradha Rani reached Jaipur airport at 4 am. She tried to enter without security check, but ASI Giriraj Prasad stopped her and asked her to undergo screening. Anuradha refused to undergo screening saying that there was no female staff. After this, ASI Giriraj informed the airport control officials on wireless and asked them to send female staff. Anuradha got angry at this and started arguing with the ASI.

During this, the argument between the two escalated so much that Anuradha slapped ASI Giriraj. This caused a ruckus at the airport’s entry gate. CISF officials and others also reached the spot. ASI Giriraj Prasad has filed a case against the accused Spice Jet crew member Anuradha at the airport police station. The police have arrested her.

SpiceJet spokesperson said- we stand firmly with the employee:

A statement from SpiceJet’s spokesperson has also come out regarding the incident that took place at Jaipur airport. He called the incident unfortunate. He also said that our female security staff had a valid pass to enter the airport, which was issued by the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS).

The CISF jawan used foul language with the female member. She was also asked to meet him after duty. We are taking legal action in this serious case of sexual harassment against our female employee and have contacted the local police. We stand firmly with our employee and are committed to fully support her.
