The weather of the entire country has changed in the month of December. The havoc of cold is continuously increasing in most of the states. Snowfall has started in Dras, Ladakh. At the same time, due to the storm in Tamil Nadu, there was heavy rain and flood like situation prevailed there. The country’s capital Delhi is struggling with pollution and cold.

Snowfall has started in Dras, Ladakh. However, the snowfall is not so heavy right now, but light snowfall continues. Heavy snowfall is expected to create a thick blanket of snow in the coming days.

The cold is at its peak in Kashmir valley also. This picture is from the outskirts of Srinagar. A farmer rowing a boat while harvesting lotus stems in Anchar Lake. Lotus stem (nadru) is grown in various water bodies in the Kashmir valley, mainly in Dal Lake, Nigeen Lake, Anchar Lake and Manasbal Lake. A delicacy, nadru or lotus stem wrapped in clay is very tasty in Wajwan and being rich in Vitamin C it boosts immunity.

There has been heavy rain in Tamil Nadu due to Cyclone Fangal. The picture is of Villupuram. Tamil Nadu Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin on Sunday visited rain-affected areas in Villupuram district following Cyclone Fengal.
