This champion Indian pair of 2022 was defeated by the Malaysian pair 18-21, 14-21 in just 37 minutes. The Indian pair made a good start and took the lead, but the Malaysian pair took five out of the next six points to take a one-point lead at the break.
Satwik and Chirag took the lead briefly after the break and reached 15-12. However, the Malaysian pair made a strong comeback by scoring seven points and won the first game. In the second game, the Malaysian team took a 5-0 lead, but thanks to Satwik, the Indians reduced the gap to 4-8. The Malaysian team then maintained the lead of 11-10 till the break. The tall Indian pair leveled the score at 13-13. But the Malaysian team was successful in registering victory. This is the second consecutive semi-final of the season for Satwik and Chirag.
