There is an atmosphere of tension in the entire city since Monday morning after the violence that broke out during the survey of Jama Masjid in Sambhal on Sunday. There is a curfew like situation in the violence affected areas. The administration has taken strict steps to bring the situation under control. Under the leadership of DIG Muniraj ji, the police force conducted a flag march in the violence affected areas. All major intersections in the city have been barricaded, and police are deployed at the entry points. Police have arrested 25 people so far. Two women are also included in this. At the same time, the entry of outsiders into the area has also been banned. Internet will remain closed till tomorrow.
Case filed against SP MP and MLA’s son
Cases have been registered in two police stations in connection with the violence in Sambhal district. A case has also been registered against Samajwadi Party MP from Sambhal, Ziaur Rahman Burke. Apart from the MP, a case has also been registered against the son of local SP MLA Iqbal Mahmood. Both have been accused of inciting the rioters. A case has also been registered against 2500 people along with them.

curfew like situations
At present there is an undeclared curfew-like atmosphere in Sambhal city. Extensive arrangements have been made for security. Police and administration officials are keeping a close watch on the situation. People are being appealed not to pay attention to rumors and maintain patience. At present, the administration has taken out a flag march in the area. There is tense peace in the area on Monday morning. No incident has come to light yet after the violence. Police from 30 police stations of entire Moradabad range have been deployed in the violence-hit area of Sambhal.

Ban on outsiders, preparation for strict action
On the other hand, DM Rajendra Pansia has banned the entry of outsiders in the district till December 1. SP Krishna Kumar Bishnoi said that action will be taken against the accused involved in the violence under the Gangster Act and National Security Act (NSAKA).

DIG’s appeal and arrests
DIG Muniraj ji said that so far 21 people have been arrested on charges of violence, including two women. Apart from this, FIR has been registered against more than 400 unidentified and named people. He appealed to all citizens to maintain peace and stay away from rumours.

Silence in the city, locks hanging on the houses
After the violence, markets and shops are completely closed in the city. Most of the houses in the affected areas are locked outside. Police patrolling has been intensified, and only policemen are visible in the streets. Internet services have been shut down for 24 hours. The time of internet restriction may be increased. There is a holiday in schools today as per the instructions of the district administration. If the situation remains tense, school holidays may also be extended.
