A Video Pertaining to Paris Olympics:

A unique video of her wishing the players good luck on the start of Paris Olympics has surfaced. In this, Sunita is seen holding the Olympic torch along with other astronauts.

Meanwhile, Indian-origin astronaut Sunita Williams has been stuck in the International Space Station (ISS) for the last 52 days. Due to a problem in the spacecraft, it has not yet been decided when she will return to Earth. However, they were enjoying the moment together pertaining to the Paris olympic and shared the video.

In this video, astronaut Sunita Williams is seen doing gymnastics in the space station.

However, this is not the actual torch but its electric form. In the video, all the astronauts are seen participating in different sports. While Sunita is doing gymnastics on one side, the other astronauts are seen showing their talent in many sports like weight-lifting, race, discus throw, shot put.

In this footage all astronauts are seen running with holding torch as replica of Paris Olympic torch.

In the video, Sunita Williams is seen holding an electric torch that looks like an Paris Olympic torch.

Astronauts also did weight-lifting in the space station.

‘It was fun to play like Olympic players’
At the end of the video, all the astronauts wish good luck to the participants taking part in the Paris Olympics. They said, “We had a lot of fun playing like Olympic players in the last few days. However, we had the advantage that there is no gravity here.”

The astronauts said, “In such a situation, we can imagine how difficult it will be for the Olympic players. We wish all the participants good luck.” The US space agency NASA shared the entire video.

Sunita Williams went to space for the third time on June 5
NASA astronaut Sunita Williams flew to space for the third time on June 5, 2024. About 25 hours later, Williams reached the International Space Station i.e. ISS. Under the mission, she had to stay in the space station for 8 days to do research and experiments and return to Earth on June 13, but there were technical problems in her spacecraft.

Sunita and her co-creator Bush are stranded in space since 2015. Steve Stich, manager of NASA’s Commercial Crew Program, had said that five of the Starliner’s 28 reaction control thrusters failed during the final phase of reaching the ISS on June 6. However, four of them came back online later.

Thruster hot-fire test performed

Boeing and NASA ground team members conducted a thruster hot-fire test over the weekend. One thruster was not fired during the test due to unusually low pressure first observed during docking, and it will remain offline during the return to Earth.

If the mission is successful, NASA will have 2 spacecraft for the first time
If this mission is successful, for the first time in history, America will have 2 spacecrafts to send astronauts into space. Currently, America only has the Dragon spacecraft of Elon Musk’s company SpaceX. NASA gave the contract to SpaceX and Boeing to make the spacecraft in 2014. SpaceX has already made it 4 years ago.
