India’s top javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra has given great news to his fans on Sunday. Neeraj Chopra has got married. The Olympic medalist has married Himani Mor in a private ceremony. 27-year-old Neeraj shared pictures of his luxurious wedding on his social media account, which left many people surprised. Before this, Neeraj Chopra had never discussed much about his life, especially regarding marriage. This information came to light only after he posted the pictures.
According to Sportstar, Neeraj’s wife Himani hails from Larsauli, Haryana and completed her schooling from Little Angels School, Panipat. Before going abroad for education, he completed his bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Physical Education from Miranda House, Delhi University.
She is pursuing a Master of Science in Sports Management and Administration from the McCormack Isenberg School of Management. He also attended Southeastern Louisiana University. As a tennis player, he has worked as a part-time assistant coach at Franklin Pierce University. Currently, she manages the tennis team for Amherst College, where she is a graduate assistant.
The Tokyo Olympics gold medalist announced the wedding on his social media handle. “I start a new chapter of my life with my family. Grateful for every blessing that has led us to this moment. Bound by love, we will live happily ever after,” Chopra wrote in a post along with photos from the wedding ceremony. “
Last year, Chopra became the second male athlete from post-independence India to win two Olympic medals in an individual event. He is also the only Indian athlete to win two different medals at the Olympics (gold at Tokyo 2020 and silver at Paris 2024).
Chopra’s uncle Bhim told PTI that the wedding took place in the country and the couple had left for their honeymoon. Mor is currently studying in America. “Yes, the wedding took place two days ago in India. I can’t tell where it took place,” Bhim said from his village in Khandra near Panipat in Haryana. When Bhim, who lives with the double Olympic medalist in Khandra, was asked about this surprising development, he said, “The girl is from Sonipat and she is studying in America. Both of them have gone out of the country for honeymoon. And I don’t know where they’ve gone. We wanted to keep it a private affair.”
