NASA introduces robots that will swim in oceans of moons of Jupiter and Saturn

NASA has developed underwater swimming robots for its space missions. These robots will go to the moons of Jupiter and Saturn and dive into the ocean buried under the ice. These robots will explore under water by visiting Jupiter’s moon Europa and Saturn’s moon Enceladus. These concept robots have been prepared by NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory. These are future robots that can work even in difficult environments in space.

NASA These robots are going to play a huge role in the search for possibilities of life outside the Earth. Actually NASA is very interested in Jupiter’s moon Europa and Saturn’s moon Enceladus. NASA has already sent the Europa Clipper mission. NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) did this using Sensing with Independent Micro Swimmers (SWIM) is named. This 16.5 inch robot is about 2kg heavy. It has also been tested in the pool. When the actual robot is ready after the concept, it will be only about 12 centimeters tall.

NASA plans to make many such robots. These robots will land in the oceans there and investigate. Will find out their temperature and chemical composition. The moons to which NASA is going to send them. There is a thick sheet of snow there. It is said that there is an entire ocean beneath this ice. These robots have been specially designed for this work. JPL has also shared the video of their test.

These robots will also be equipped with communication and GPS systems. With the help of which they will be able to navigate in water. They will be equipped with special equipment so that they can know the chemical composition of the ocean. However, the company says that this is just a concept and has been tested as a prototype. To build these, funding as well as development approval is still required. NASA believes that there are signs of water on moons like Europa, Enceladus, Titan and Ariel in the outer solar system, which suggests that life may be possible here.
