Three teenage girls and a young woman fell ill in Baddal on Wednesday. Of these, three real sisters were first admitted to Government Medical College (GMC) Rajori on the complaint of difficulty in breathing and fever, but were airlifted and sent to Jammu in the evening.

The condition of Nazia Kausar (16), admitted in Mother-Child SMGS Hospital, is critical. He has been kept on ventilator support. Nazia’s sister Tajim Akhtar (14) has been kept in isolation and another sister Khalid Kausar (23) has been kept in the main ICU of GMC Jammu.

According to doctors, the sick teenage girl and girl were having trouble breathing. When everyone fell ill on Wednesday morning, they were first taken to the government hospital in Kotranka. After first aid, he was referred to Rajori from there. Nazia, Tajim and Khalid are relatives of deceased Fazal, while Shabnam is from another family of the same village. Whereas, Shabnam Kausar has been admitted to GMC Rajori. Meanwhile, the Home Ministry team held a meeting with the concerned officials at Civil Secretariat Jammu and discussed the information related to the incident.

Ijaz’s condition stable in PGI, Chandigarh, investigation reports awaited

The condition of Ijaz, who was airlifted to PGI Chandigarh on Tuesday night, is said to be stable. According to the PGI administration, currently Ejaz is being admitted to the emergency ICU and preliminary tests are being done. Anything can be said about the disease only after the report comes.

Ration found in homes confiscated

After declaring Baddal as a restricted area, health teams have confiscated the ration kept in people’s homes. Along with this, people and relatives who came in contact with the three families related to 17 deaths are being quarantined in Rajori. The administration has increased its activity in Baddal village and has provided 24-hour ambulance facility and appointed a pediatrician and a physician in the Community Health Center, Kandi.

Deaths due to damage to the brain and nervous system

Government Medical College (GMC) Principal Dr Amarjeet Singh Bhatia revealed that reports from the forensic departments of Chandigarh and Lucknow have arrived in the case of mysterious deaths in Baddal. The cause of death has been found to be brain damage and damage to the nervous system. The same reasons have been given in the investigation reports of ICMR and NCDC.

Dr. Amarjeet said that only those patients who had brain infection could not be saved. He said that nine patients were referred from Baddal to Rajori, out of which five lives were saved.
