Kathua Terror Attack; JeM OGW Terrorists Arrested |2 aides of Jaish terrorists arrested

On July 8, terrorists attacked an army truck in Kathua.

Five jawans including a Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO) were martyred in a terrorist attack in Kathua, Jammu and Kashmir on July 8. Two over ground workers (OGW) who helped the terrorists in this attack were arrested on Thursday (July 25).

Both OGWs were associated with the terrorist organization Jaish-e-Mohammed. Both of them provided food and drink to the terrorists as well as Wi-Fi so that the terrorists could talk to their handles sitting across the border. Local people of these areas help the terrorists.

Police said that the arrested accused have been identified as Liyaqat and Raj. Since July 8, the police had interrogated 100 people to find the terrorists. On the basis of this interrogation, both the OGW workers were identified.

Both the arrested accused were brought to Malhar police station on Thursday morning.

The terrorists had fired on the army truck
On July 8, the security forces went out in two trucks for patrolling in the hilly area at Badnota in Machedi area of Lohai Malhar block, about 123 km from Kathua, at 3.30 pm. The road was unpaved and the speed of the vehicle was also slow. There was a high hill on one side and a ditch on the other.

The terrorists ambushed the army truck on the hill and first threw a grenade, then fired from a sniper gun. The army also fired in counter fire, but the terrorists fled into the forest. It was revealed that 3 to 4 terrorists were involved in the attack. They were equipped with advanced weapons.

The terrorists wanted to repeat the theory of the Reasi attack on June 9

On 9 June, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was taking oath for the third time in Delhi. At the same time, news came from Reasi in Jammu that terrorists had fired on a bus of pilgrims. The driver was targeted in the firing. Due to this, the bus went out of control and fell into a deep ditch. 9 passengers died, while 42 people were injured. 

On 8th July, terrorists adopted the same theory of attack in Kathua. Terrorists attacked the army truck from high hills. The target was the driver. However, due to bad road, the truck was moving at a speed of 10 to 15 km per hour, so it did not fall into the ditch. After this, 5 soldiers were martyred and 5 were injured in the firing of terrorists.

After the attack, blood stains were visible on the unpaved road around the truck.

Due to the unpaved road, the soldiers were unable to turn the truck back after the attack.

The speed of the truck was slow at the time of the attack. That is why the soldiers suffered heavy losses.

After attacking with a grenade, the terrorists punctured the tyres of the truck by firing bullets.

After the attack, security forces surrounded the entire area and conducted a search operation.

While taking the injured soldier to the hospital, his treatment was started on the way itself.

The soldiers injured in the attack have been referred to Pathankot Military Hospital.

Kashmir Tigers’ confession regarding terrorist attack…
The terrorist organization named Kashmir Tigers has claimed responsibility for the attack. This organization is a branch of the banned Pakistani terrorist organization Jaish-e-Mohammed. In a post on social media by the organization, it was written that this attack is a revenge for the death of 3 terrorists killed in Doda on June 26. It also said that the terrorists attacked with hand grenades and sniper guns.

KT-213 wrote in a post- ‘Indian Army has been attacked with hand grenades and sniper guns in Badnota of Kathua. This is revenge for the death of 3 Mujahideen killed in Doda. More attacks will be carried out soon. This fight will continue till the independence of Kashmir.’

Defense Ministry spokesperson Bharat Bhushan Babu said in a post on Twitter- I express my deepest condolences on the martyrdom of five soldiers in the attack in Kathua. Their selfless service to the nation will always be remembered. Their sacrifice will be avenged. India will defeat the evil forces behind the attack.

An army vehicle was also attacked on May 4

Two months ago also an army vehicle was attacked. This attack took place on an Air Force convoy in Shahsitaar area of Poonch, in which Corporal Vicky Pahad was martyred and four other soldiers were injured. The terrorists fired heavily on two vehicles of the security forces. Both the vehicles were going to Sanai Top.
