The Border-Gavaskar Trophy between India and Australia has started from 22nd November. The first test match is being played between the two teams in Perth. Cricket Australia has taken a big decision regarding this match. Cricket Australia has decided to organize a series of events to mark the 10th anniversary of the tragic death of former cricketer Phillip Hughes, including paying tribute to him ahead of the second Test between India and Australia in Adelaide from December 6. Cricket Australia will also pay tribute to him during three upcoming Sheffield Shield matches when players will wear black armbands and flags will fly at half-mast.

Hughes, who played 26 Tests for Australia, died after being hit by a bouncer during a home match at the ground in 2014, a few days before his 26th birthday. He was hit on the head by a bouncer from bowler Sean Abbott during a match at the Sydney Cricket Ground. Cricket Australia CEO Nick Hockley said he wanted to make sure Hughes’ family was comfortable with this and that we would celebrate his life and extraordinary achievements. Can celebrate properly. One minute silence will also be observed in his memory on the fourth day of the second Test match.
