‘I told him, the film will not work’, when Ranbir did not agree, father Rishi Kapoor got furious

New Delhi. Veteran Bollywood actor Rishi Kapoor was a fun-loving person. He was also known for his angry temperament. He used to say whatever came to his heart. He didn’t care what the other person would think. Even Rishi Kapoor used to tell the directors that his film would not work, even if he was working in that movie. Recently, filmmaker-actor Anant Mahadevan told that once Rishi Kapoor got very angry at his son Ranbir Kapoor.

Ananth Mahadevan recalled his old meeting with Rishi Kapoor in an interview given to Siddharth Kannan. He said, ‘Rishi Kapoor was blunt. Once I went to his house. I will not take the name of the filmmaker about whom he was talking. He was continuously saying that I had told Ranbir not to do (the film), don’t do it. I had said that this film will not work. I spoke, but he did not listen to me.

Dharmendra’s highest grossing film, created a stir with the kiss scene, collected Rs 355 crore at the box office.

Rishi Kapoor used to speak on the faces of directors
Anant Mahadevan further said that Rishi Kapoor did not hesitate at all in saying such things in front of directors. He used to say, ‘Your film will not work. Your film is a flop. There is no point.’ Even if Rishi Kapoor is working in that movie. Anant Mahadevan said that Rishi Kapoor was an honest and clean hearted person. It is known that Rishi Kapoor died on April 30, 2020 due to cancer.

‘Ramayana’ will come on Diwali of 2026
Talking about Ranbir Kapoor’s work front, he was last seen in the film ‘Animal’, which proved to be an all-time blockbuster at the box office. Now he will be seen in the role of Lord Shri Ram in ‘Ramayana’. The first poster of the film was released on 6 November. This movie will come in two parts. The first movie will hit the theaters on Diwali 2026 and the second movie on Diwali 2027. Nitesh Tiwari has taken charge of the direction of the film.
