What is the claim?
All political parties are busy in their preparations for Delhi Assembly elections 2025. Aam Aadmi Party And Congress has released the list of its candidates, while BJP The list is yet to come. Meanwhile, a video is going viral on social media, in which a huge victory of BJP has been claimed on the basis of alleged opinion poll of Hindi news channel ABP News. According to this opinion poll, BJP is predicted to get 49 seats out of 70 assembly seats in Delhi, while the ruling Aam Aadmi Party is predicted to get 16 seats and Congress is predicted to get 5 seats.

However, our investigation revealed that the viral video is fake. ABP News has not broadcast any such opinion poll regarding Delhi Assembly elections.
How did the truth come out?
We asked ABP News to verify the authenticity of the viral opinion poll video. websitechecked YouTube channels and social media handles, but we did not find any such opinion poll related to Delhi Assembly Elections 2025.
Subsequently, we analyzed the viral video in detail and found that the text of ‘breaking news’ in the viral video appears on the screen with a zoom in effect, whereas the original text of ABP Video This text flashes from bottom to top.
Additionally, the font of the viral clip is also less bold than that of the original ABP News video, which does not match ABP’s usual format.

Apart from this, the previous polls of ABP News opinion poll Looking at it, it becomes clear that the channel has been conducting opinion polls with the help of C-Voter and other sources, which is broadcast in the format of ‘Analysis’. While the viral video is in breaking news style, and the figures of seats appear immediately on the screen.
During investigation, we found a post dated December 17, 2024 on the Post Found (archive Here), in which a screenshot of a post containing an alleged opinion poll of ABP was shared, and the video was declared fake.
The channel wrote, “This video being spread on social media in the name of abp news is completely fake. No such news/opinion poll has been run by abp news.”

We spoke to several journalists working in ABP News about the viral video, who called it fake and even said that the voice heard in the video does not belong to any of their anchors.
Additionally, we also spoke to ABP News Editor Rajneesh Ahuja, who termed the viral video as fake and confirmed, “ABP News has not conducted any opinion poll regarding the Delhi Assembly elections.”
