A terrible road accident has taken place in Katihar, in which three youths died tragically. All three youths are cousins. The incident took place near Goldah village of Lagwa Das Gram Panchayat under Barsoi block. This is the border of Bihar and Bengal. The deceased have been identified as Gopal Ghosh, Ranjit Ghosh and Hira Ghosh (30), residents of Satwa village ward 6 of Lagwa Das gram panchayat.

Bike burst into flames after hitting tree

Regarding the incident, police say that all three youths were cousins. All three were going somewhere riding on the same bike. Then the bike went out of control and collided with a tree, due to which two brothers Gopal Ghosh and Ranjit Ghosh died on the spot. The third was seriously injured. As soon as the accident occurred, nearby people gathered at the spot and hurriedly brought the seriously injured person to Barsoi Sub-Divisional Hospital, where Hira Ghosh died during treatment. The bike caught fire as soon as it hit the tree.

The marriage took place five months ago

Local chief Matauj Ali and villagers say that the incident site is the border area of Bengal and Bihar, where there is a liquor distillery. People from Bihar go there to drink alcohol. The constant drinking and coming and going continues throughout the day every day. People expressed apprehension and said that perhaps these people were returning from there after drinking alcohol. Under the influence of alcohol, his bike went out of control and crashed into a tree. As soon as it hit the tree, the bike caught fire and all three fell here and there. In this incident, two brothers died on the spot, while the third died while being taken to the hospital. Family members told that Hira Ghosh was married 5 months ago.
