In America, Gun Culture is both divisive that unifies. The National Rifle Association by advocating against tougher laws on gun ownership or use endeavors more towards promoting gun safety measures than any other things.

Conversely, opponents of this viewpoint argue that controlling access will help reduce violence levels because they perceive this issue only from a public health perspective where gun related suicides together with homicides are seen as preventable death pagers.

This may account for proposal calling regulation such as background checks or bans on certain types of guns while having others aimed at preventing those intending to perpetrate violent acts from being armed.

American society is profoundly affected by the degree of gun proliferation and the strong cultural attachment to this weapon.
