Huge crowd at New Delhi railway station
New Delhi: There has been a stampede at New Delhi railway station. 15 people have died in this stampede. The Chief Casual Medical Officer of LNJP Hospital has issued a statement on the incident and said that 15 people, including 3 children, have died in the incident at New Delhi railway station. 10 others have been injured.
How did a stampede?
On Saturday night, stampede at New Delhi railway station caused chaos on platform number 14 and 15. The incident occurred at around 9.55 pm, after which there was a stir. In fact, a large crowd reached New Delhi railway station to go to the ongoing Mahakumbh in Prayagraj. There was a stampede due to a huge crowd. Passengers have accused the administration of negligence.
Railway Minister ordered high level inquiry, Union Health Minister gave these instructions
Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav has ordered a high level inquiry into the incident. The NDRF team has been deployed at New Delhi station. Union Health Minister JP Nadda has spoken to doctors and officials and has given appropriate instructions. A large medical team has been put on duty in different hospitals by the Chief Secretary of Delhi.

PM Modi has expressed grief over this stampede. PM Modi posted on X and said, ‘I am distressed by a stampede at New Delhi railway station. My condolences are with all those who have lost their loved ones. I pray that the injured are healthy soon. Officers are assisting all those who have been affected by this stampede.
Delhi’s LG’s statement revealed
Delhi Lieutenant Governor Vinay Saxena posted on X and said, ‘An unfortunate incident has taken place at New Delhi railway station. Talked to the Chief Secretary and the Commissioner of Police and asked him to deal with the situation. CS has been asked to deploy relief personnel. CS and CP have been instructed to stay on the site and control relief measures. I am constantly monitoring the work. ‘
