The guests were mainly served South Indian cuisine at the refreshment ceremony organized by President Draupadi Murmu on Sunday at Rashtrapati Bhavan. Today’s President at Home focused on the culinary art and cultural diversity of South India. In this refreshment ceremony, the chief guest of this year’s Republic Day Parade attended Indonesia President Prabovo Subianto, Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, several Union ministers and administrative, military and police officers and diplomats. Guests were strongly welcomed. The guests were welcomed by one couple of each of the five southern states – Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Kerala – in their mother tongue, which was in the costumes of that kingdom.

Guests invited to the ceremony

The ceremony included special invitations, ‘Drone Didi’, natural farming farmers and women who achieved feat in various fields and ‘Divyang’. Musicians of these states gave brief performances. The refreshment ceremony was more inclusive for the disabled, including those who assisted him. The guests also included start-up founder and reputed persons from various businesses.
