US Vice President JD Vance and National Security Advisor Michael Waltz are expected to visit India on 21 April amidst the trade agreement negotiations. An official of the Government of India gave this information. The officer said late Friday that Vance and Walj will come on separate tour.

Sources said that Waltz’s journey will be a complete commercial journey. He will hold extensive talks with his Indian negotiaters on several major issues including security in Indo-Pacific. Both Vance and Waltz are expected to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi before going on a two -day visit to Saudi Arabia from 22 April. It is being speculated that US Vice President may discuss other strategic and strategic relations, including discussion on bilateral trade agreement with India.
Sources said that American NSA is visiting India to unveil the initiative for cooperation in high technology, important minerals and export control areas. Waltz is known as a supporter of the strong relations of Indo-US. At the same time, Vance is also likely to come to India with Indian-American second woman Usha Vance and her children from April 21, but her journey duration is going to be longer than Waltz’s visit.

Vice President Vance has close relations with India. His wife Usha Vance is an American citizen of Indian origin. Usha Vance’s parents were residents of Andhra Pradesh who later moved to America. Usha Vance was born in California, USA and is a lawyer by profession. She is the first Hindu American second lady in the history of America.
