The number of devotees visiting the Shri Kashi Vishwanath temple amidst the reversal flow of Mahakumbh set a new record. According to data received from the temple administration, three crore devotees have seen in 45 days. Talking about the average figures, more than six and a half lakh devotees have seen daily. This number of devotees is the highest in the history of the temple. Devotees have seen more than Sawan in Magh and Phalgun.

According to the data released by Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple Trust, the number of devotees on Mahashivratri and Mauni Amavasya increased wildly. While more than 11 lakh devotees came on Mauni Amavasya, more than 17 lakh devotees visited Baba Vishwanath’s tableau in 46 hours on Mahashivaratri.
Between 13 January and 19 February, the number of devotees crossed the two crore mark. According to data released on 27 February, the figure reached three crores. That is, more than one crore devotees arrived in eight days (20 to 27 February).
