A video is becoming increasingly viral on social media, in which some people are seen vandalizing one area. Many people are also setting fire in a pandal. The place where this sabotage is being done, big pots and food plates are also seen scattered.

Many people are describing it as an event of West Bengal. According to the claim, a bhandara was being done in a temple in West Bengal, but the Muslims entered there and destroyed everything. This video is neither related to West Bengal nor was there a vandalism in any temple.

It is written in the caption with the video, “This is no Afghanistan Pakistan Bangladesh or is the scene of Bengal in India where the bhandara was being done by the Hindus in a village temple, the jihadis did not get the zodiac sign and broke into the temple of breaking into the bhandara and beaten up the Hindus where the number of these pigs is more, there is a lot of hell dogs.”

Aaj Tak Fact Check found that this video is neither from West Bengal nor from India. Actually, this video is from Dinajpur district of Bangladesh where some miscreants created a furore in a tomb.

How to find out the truth?

We found this video on a Facebook page called ‘Haraban Pak Darbar Sharif’ by reverse searching for the viral video keframes. Darbar Sharif is a religious place of Muslims located in Ghazipur, Bangladesh.

With this video on Haraban Pak Darbar Sharif ‘page’, it is written in Bangla language that this incident is of Ghoraghat Upazila in Dinajpur district. Here the Muslims first vandalized the Mazar Sharif of Rahim Shah Bhandari located in Biraheempur village and then set fire to many places.

With the help of these information, we received many Bangladeshi news reports printed on 28 February and 1 March. For example, in the reports of ‘Pratham Alo’ and Dhaka Post, it has been told that preparations were being made for Urs, the festival of Muslims who lasted for three days in Ghoraghat Upazile in Dinajpur. At the same time, some people attacked a tomb and set fire there. This place is famous as ‘Rahim Shah Baba Bhandari Mazar’. The festival was going to run from the 2th to the 4th of March and a pandal and a big stage were built for it, which was broke and set on fire.

These miscreants said that every year in the name of Urs festival, this tomb has a singing, drug consumption and obscene activities. This was also opposed earlier. But after seeing the preparation of Urs again, the matter was hot again.

We received a video report related to this case on YouTube channel of news outlet called ‘Kalbela’. It contains a house made of a tin and a cement pole at 1 minute 14 seconds, on which a water tank is placed.

In the first frame of the viral video, we see the same house and cement pole on which a water tank is placed on top of which. Comparing both of them makes it clear that the viral video is of this incident.

This video is neither related to West Bengal nor was there a vandalism in any temple.

In this way, it is proved that the viral video is not of West Bengal but in a tomb in Dinajpur district of Bangladesh.
