Leadership of LJP:

He would often mention to his followers on how important it was not only for them but also the entire party if at all there was going be any kind of betterment in their lives.
One notable decision that Chirag made was during Bihar’s 2020 Legislative Assembly election time. He wanted out of National Democratic Alliance (NDA) that had been ruling the state for close to two decades and run independently challenging Janata Dal (United)’s Nitish Kumar though no seats were guaranteed for his party much as he positioned himself strategically by condemning the governance style adopted by Nitish’s regime.
Vision for Bihar:
Chirag has been on the forefront in advocating for holistic development and modernization of the state of Bihar. His consistent emphasis has been geared towards better infrastructure, health facilities, quality education, and employment. His understanding is that he should marry traditional societal values with contemporary solutions in order to cater for the aspirations of both rural and urban areas.
One key programme was the call for “Bihar First, Bihari First”.This has been expressed by the leader as the main theme behind his commitment to the development of this state and betterment of the lives of its residents through transformation so that it can attract investments, retain talented people as well as provide high standards living conditions among its population.
Challenges and Controversies:
However, Chirag’s political path has not been smooth; it has had its share of challenging moments and controversies. His solo run in the 2020 Bihar polls led to the break-up of NDA with disapproval emanating from various quarters as well. Internal dynamics within LJP too pose powerful obstacles of success. Consequently, in 2021, the party fragmented with his uncle Pashupati Kumar Paras leading one faction while another remained loyal to him. This division proved detrimental but Chirag has remained resilient in spite of everything.
Some critics argue that his personal ambition rather than coherent strategy for state`s development motivates his political moves. However, Chirag’s admirers maintain that his bold choices are driven by a desire to break away from customary political boundaries and inaugurate a new era of governance in Bihar.
