The conspirator of the Mumbai terror attack, Tehwwur Rana, helped co-conspirator David Komalin Headley to get India’s visa. Headley came here before the Mumbai attack. A Mumbai Police official has given this information. Significantly, on Thursday, Tahwwur Rana has been extradited from America and brought to India. On reaching India, the NIA formally arrested Tawwur Rana on Thursday evening. The special court of Delhi has sent Rana to NIA custody for 18 days.

Tehwwur Rana was in constant touch of David Headley
Tahwwur Rana has worked in the medical core of the Pakistani Army and shifted to Canada in the 90s after retiring from the army. Before going to Canada, Tehwavur Rana went to Chicago, USA, where he started an immigration consultancy firm. The police officer said on Thursday that through his immigration firm, Tahwwur Rana had helped David Headley, the co-conspirator of the Mumbai attack, to get a ten-year extension of the Indian visa. It was David Headley who did Reiki for the Mumbai attack. During his stay in India, Headley also pretended to do immigration related work and during this time he remained in regular contact with Tahwavur Rana. According to the police, during David Headley’s stay in India, he spoke to Tehwavur Rana over 230 times.

Tehwavur Rana has also come to India before the Mumbai attack
A few days before the Mumbai terror attack, in 2008, Tahwwur Rana also came to India. During his stay in India, Rana stayed in a hotel in Powai and during this time he inquired from a person about the crowded areas of Mumbai. The person who gave this information has testified in court. When there was an attack in Mumbai, the congested places mentioned were also targeted. 166 people lost their lives in the Mumbai attack. During the attack, the terrorists targeted several prestigious places in Mumbai, including Taj Mahal and Oberoi Hotel, Leopold Cafe, Chabad House and Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus train station.
