PV Sindhu and World Championships bronze winner Lakshya Sen will lead the 14-member Indian team for the Badminton Asia Mixed Team Championships to be held in Chengdu, China from February 11 to 16. India had won the bronze medal in the previous edition of the competition in Dubai in 2023.

Two-time Olympic medalist PV Sindhu and World Championship bronze winner Lakshya Sen will lead the 14-member Indian team for the Badminton Asia Mixed Team Championships to be held in Chengdu, China from February 11 to 16. India had won the bronze medal in the previous edition of the competition in Dubai in 2023. “The national selectors have given importance to the world ranking and current form of the players while selecting the team,” the Badminton Association of India (BAI) said in a release. HS Prannoy and Malvika Bansod will be the second men’s and women’s singles players respectively in the team. ,

The strong Indian team will also have star doubles players Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty. The women’s doubles pair could be either Gayatri Gopichand and Trisa Jolly or Ashwini Ponnappa and Tanisha Crasto. Tanisha will pair with Dhruv Kapila in the mixed doubles while Satish Kumar K and Adya Wariath will be the other pair. BAI general secretary Sanjay Mishra said, “We had done well by winning the bronze medal two years ago, but this year our aim is to reach the finals. Then anything is possible and we will try our best. ,
