New Delhi. Samsung Galaxy S25 series has finally been launched in India. The company has included three models in this series – a standard, plus and ultra. All three handsets were launched yesterday on 22 January. However, those who were waiting for Galaxy S25 Slim will have to wait longer. Because the company has not teased about it. But, the company has revealed a new Galaxy S25 Edge model, which is presumably the same model that boasts about its slim profile.

The latest Samsung Galaxy S25 series was launched in America with a starting price of $799 (approximately Rs 69,000). The Samsung Galaxy S25+ is priced at $999 (approximately Rs 86,000), while the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra is priced at $1,299 (approximately Rs 1,12,299). At the same time, the price of Samsung Galaxy S25 in India starts from Rs 80,999 for the base 128GB storage model. The starting price of Samsung Galaxy S25+ (256GB) is Rs 99,999, while the price of Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra (256GB) is Rs 1,29,999. Although the prices of both Plus and Ultra remain the same as the Samsung Galaxy S24 series, the price of the standard S25 model has been increased by Rs 1,000 compared to the previous model. What is special in Samsung Galaxy S25, S25+
The newly launched Samsung Galaxy S25 and Samsung Galaxy S25+ carry a few hardware upgrades from their previous models. The S25 has a compact 6.2-inch display, while the S25+ has a larger 6.7-inch screen. Both devices are equipped with a 50MP primary camera, a 12MP ultra-wide lens, and a 10MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. There is no change in battery capacity, with the S25 having a 4,000mAh battery and the S25+ having a 4,900mAh cell. Charging speeds are also the same, with 25W wired charging for the S25 and 45W for the S25+.

These devices run on Android 15 with Samsung’s One UI 7 interface and come with 7 years of OS updates and security patches. The base model of Samsung Galaxy S25 starts with 128GB storage. Samsung is now offering 12GB RAM as the base model for the standard and plus versions. Additionally, Snapdragon 8 Elite is also provided in the new device.

Specifications of Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra
The new Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra has been upgraded in design and performance. Starting with its display. The phone has a larger 6.9-inch screen, up from 6.8 inches in the previous model, with more rounded edges and a departure from the sharper Galaxy Note design. Despite this, the Ultra is light, weighing just 218 grams. It has the same 5,000mAh battery that has been powering the Ultra models since the Galaxy S20 Ultra.

Talking about the camera, it now has a 50MP ultra-wide camera with a 200MP primary sensor, which replaces the 12MP sensor used in the earlier model. There is also a 50MP telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom and a 10MP secondary telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. There is no change in the front-facing camera, it is still 12MP. But it is expected that it will give better performance for selfies and video calls.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra comes with 12GB RAM in all storage options 256GB, 512GB and 1TB. This 12GB RAM configuration is the same across the entire Galaxy S25 lineup, as Samsung has decided to eliminate the 16GB RAM variant this year. At the core of the device is the Snapdragon 8 Elite for the Galaxy, a custom-tuned version of Qualcomm’s latest flagship chipset for 2025.
