The team of a three -member Judicial Inquiry Commission formed to investigate the violence during the Jama Masjid survey reached the city for the fourth time. Officials associated with the commission are recording statements of people and officers at PWD Guest House in Sambhal on Friday. During this, Supreme Court advocate Vishnu Shankar Jain also reached the guest house.

The members of the commission will also stay in the district on Saturday and will record statements of police administration, witnesses and other concerned parties posted during the ruckus. Even before this, the commission has come to the fore three times and investigated. Significantly, violence erupted during the survey in Jama Masjid on 24 November.
Five people were killed in the incident, while 29 policemen and several others were injured. The miscreants had fired on the police and incidents of arson and sabotage were also reported. The police had to work hard to control the situation.
A three -member Judicial Inquiry Commission was formed to investigate the incident. In this, retired judge Devendra Arora was made the chairman. He is accompanied by retired IPS officer and former DGP AK Jain and retired IAS officer Amit Mohan Prasad as members.
