‘Recovery of Cash’ from Residence of Judge: Issue Raised in Rajya Sabha – Amar Ujala Hindi News Live – Rajya Saabha: Case of getting cash in the house of High Court Judge in Rajya Sabha, question of Dhankhar
The case of alleged cash recovery from a judge of a judge of Delhi High Court also echoed in the Rajya Sabha on Friday. Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar said that he will find an arrangement for systematic discussion on this issue. Raising this issue in the morning session, Congress MP Jairam Ramesh sought the chairman’s answer on judicial accountability. Ramesh reminded the Chairman of the pending notice regarding impeachment against a judge of the Allahabad High Court.

Jairam Ramesh said- this shocking case
Ramesh said, “This morning we read about the shocking case of a large quantity of cash being recovered from a judge’s residence of Delhi High Court.” He also stated that earlier, 50 MPs had submitted notice to the Chairman regarding some comments made by a judge of the Allahabad High Court.

Ramesh said that the chairman himself has repeatedly talked about the need for judicial accountability. The senior Congress leader also tried to remind Dhankhar that he had directed the House leader on the issue. He said, “I request you to make some comments on it and give necessary instructions to the government to bring a proposal to increase judicial accountability.”
Chairman said- delay in revelations causes trouble
On the issue related to the alleged seizures of cash, Dhankhar said that he had trouble that the incident happened but did not come immediately. He said that if such an incident had been related to a politician, bureaucrat or industrialist, the person concerned would immediately become a ‘goal’. “Therefore, I am confident that transparent, accountable and effective systemic reactions will come out,” he said. The Chairman further said that he would contact the Leader of the House and the Leader of the Opposition and try to get a discussion during the session.

A senior advocate expressed grief and surprise at the allegedly recovered cash from the residence of Justice Yashwant Verma before the Delhi High Court on Friday. Justice Verma did not appear in the court today. The collegium of the Supreme Court has allegedly decided to transfer Justice Verma to Justice Verma from the Delhi High Court to the Allahabad High Court on the basis of allegations of recovery of cash from his residence here.
On the impeachment case, the Chairman said that he had received representation from 55 members of the Rajya Sabha. Dhankhar told the members that they had taken all necessary steps to verify the signature from the signators.
