The National Earthquake Science Center said in a post on ‘X’ that the center of the earthquake was in New Delhi and at 5:36 am it came at a depth of five kilometers. An official told the news agency PTI that the epicenter of the earthquake was near Durgabai Deshmukh College of Special Education in Dhaula Kuan.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also tweeted in the case. He wrote, ‘Earthquake tremors were felt in Delhi and surrounding areas. All are appealed to remain calm and follow safety precautions. Along with this, there is a need to be vigilant towards possible tremors. Officials are keeping a close watch on the situation.
