In view of the upcoming assembly elections in Delhi, political activity has intensified. The ruling Aam Aadmi Party on Monday released the second list of candidates and the party has so far finalized a total of 31 candidates. AAP has also given a chance to recent leaders from other parties in both its lists. On the other hand, opposition Bharatiya Janata Party and Congress have started making their election strategy. Congress recently took out Delhi Nyay Yatra. On the other hand, BJP has also announced to take out Parivartan Yatra in all the assembly constituencies.
Delhi has been witness to many political upheavals in the last five years. Two faces took oath as Chief Minister. While on one hand the government was run from jail after the arrest of the Chief Minister, on the other hand some ministers changed parties. Now he is with the opposition parties. The alleged liquor scam was also at the center of all these developments. Former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is trapped in this case. After getting bail from jail, Kejriwal resigned from the post of Chief Minister. Atishi, who was a minister in his cabinet, got the post of Chief Minister.
Let us know how were the results of the last assembly elections in the state? How much has the politics of the state changed after the elections? Which ministers left the party? How much has the form of government changed? How is the situation now? How have the parties prepared for the elections?
