Pastor Bajinder Singh, accused in the rape case of a woman from Zirakpur in Mohali, Punjab, has been sentenced to imprisonment by the court of Mohali. The police was taken into custody by the police after being convicted by the court. He is lodged in Patiala Jail.

The victim’s lawyer Advocate Anil Sagar said that Bajinder Singh is popular as a spiritual leader. His followers used to call him ‘Papa Ji’. When such a crime is committed by such a person, he should be punished harshly. We are satisfied with the period of punishment. He has to stay behind bars till his last breath.
The victim fainted after hearing the verdict in court. After coming to consciousness after a while, the victim said that she had full faith in the court. He has set an example for more afflicted women by giving such a big verdict.

The police arrested Pastor Bajinder Singh when he arrived at Delhi Airport to take a flight to attend a seminar being conducted in Birmingham city, England. A video of Pastor Bajinder Singh also became increasingly viral on social media, in which he is assaulting the woman. The video was on 14 February, which went viral on 16 March, in which the woman was seen slapping the pastor. In this video, the pastor was thrown a copy at the mouth of the woman sitting with the child. This woman used to work with the pastor.
