This is because Jaish-e-Mohammed follows the Deobandi sect, while Lashkar-e-Taiba is associated with Ahl-e-Hadith ideology. There is a difference of ideologies between the two organizations and that is why both have failed to work together.

Both these organizations keep causing trouble for India. Members of Jaish-e-Mohammed are now active in India, especially in Jammu and Kashmir, where they are targeting Indian security forces and trying to infiltrate. According to sources, most of the recent terrorists caught in India were associated with Jaish-e-Mohammed and have found weapons made from Pakistan and China from them.

Intelligence officials believe that the result of increasing differences between these two organizations is that Kari Abdu Rahman, a relative of India’s most wanted terrorist Hafiz Saeed, was murdered in Karachi. India’s security agencies can benefit from this internal dispute as the increasing dispute between the two and the leak of information against each other are helping Indian security forces to locate terrorists’ bases.
