Cuttack. Sports Minister Suryavanshi Suraj on Sunday said that the government will sought clarification from the Odisha Cricket Association (OCA), to be interrupted for about 30 minutes due to a malfunction in the second one -day international match between England and India at the historic Barabati Stadium. Suraj was present in the stadium along with Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi and other senior ministers during this period. He said, “OCA will be sought clarification about floodlight disturbances. The incident took place despite OCA to take all precautions and make widespread pre -arrangements. ”

However, OCA Secretary Sanjay Behera said that each floodlight tower was linked to two generators. “When a generator was damaged, we started another generator, but it took some time to remove the generator, because the players’ vehicle was standing between the tower and the other generator.” Congress MLA Sophia Firdaus from Barabati-Katk present at the stadium condemned the floodlight disturbances. He said, “What happened in Barabati Stadium today is very unfortunate. It should be investigated fairly.
