It is the most profitable film in the history of Bollywood, giving a remarkable 1162.50 percent return on investment. Apart from its success at the box office, the film also won several awards. ‘The Kashmir Files’ won two awards at the 69th National Film Awards – Best Feature Film on National Integration and Best Supporting Actress. Additionally, at the 68th Filmfare Awards, the film received seven nominations including Best Film, Best Director, Best Actor (Anupam Kher) and Best Supporting Actor. This film starred Mithun Chakraborty, Anupam Kher, Darshan Kumar and Pallavi Joshi in lead roles.
