The Bah-Bateshwar fair of Agra is filled with camels and horses. The arrival of mules has also started. Abbu Mian of Hathras has arrived with 18 mules. He has kept the price of one of these mule Chandal at Rs 3 lakh.
There was a lot of sale of camels and horses on Monday. Deals were made on the basis of color, appearance, race. Horses and mares are sold in the fair for Rs 20 thousand to Rs 3 lakh. Malkhan Singh of Salempur has sold two mares for Rs 2.65 lakh and Rs 1.60 lakh. Noor Mohammad of Bareilly has sold 4 horses for Rs 70 to Rs 1.45 lakh. A mare has been purchased for Rs 1.30 lakh. Usman of Badaun and Dheeraj Singh of Prayagraj told that there is no dearth of horses and buyers in the fair.
