Information about the shocking revelations in a survey on Wednesday came to light. According to the survey, at least 22 percent of the rich Indians (Super Rich) want to leave the country for reasons such as living here, better living standard abroad and easy business environment in other countries. The survey was conducted between 150 very wealthy persons (UHNI). According to the survey, the US, Britain, Australia, Canada and even the United Arab Emirates (UAE) are favorite places due to their golden visa plans, where rich people want to settle.

The country’s leading property manager company Kotak Private has conducted this survey with the advisory company EY. According to the Ministry of External Affairs, every year 2.5 million Indians migrate to other countries. The findings of the survey stated, “One of every five wealthy people in the survey are currently in the process of migration or are planning a migration.” The survey also states that most of them want to reside in the country of their choice by maintaining their Indian citizenship.
Rich Indians ready to leave the country to improve standard of living
The survey states that they want to improve standard of living, health care solutions, education or lifestyle. More than two -thirds of people said that making business operations smooth is the biggest priority for them. Describing the decision of the migration as “future investment”, the survey also said that the desire for good higher education for his children inspires them to choose this option.
However, Kotak Mahindra Bank Chairman Gautami Gavankar said that the decision of transfer should not be seen as out of capital from the country. He said that by imposing a limit on such activities, it is ensured that even if a person changes his place of residence, the money will not go out.
People over 36-40 and more than 61 years of desire to leave the country
He said that an Indian citizen living in India can take only US $ 250,000 out of the country per year. While an NRI (NRI) is allowed to take out $ 1 million. This ensures that there is no major migration of capital. The survey states that professionals have more tendency to leave the country than entrepreneurs or their heirs. From the perspective of the age group, people aged 36-40 years and more than 61 years are more inclined to stay.

In 2023, there were 2.83 lakh Indians who have been called UHNI. The total assets of each of them are more than Rs 25 crore and their total assets have been estimated at Rs 2.83 lakh crore. According to the survey, by 2028 this number will increase to 4.3 lakhs, which will have assets worth Rs 359 lakh crore.
