Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Nirupam on Wednesday raised many serious questions regarding the attack on film actor Saif Ali Khan. Sanjay Nirupam called the case suspicious and expressed surprise at Saif Ali Khan’s recovery so soon after the serious attack. It is noteworthy that Saif Ali Khan returned to his home after being discharged from the hospital on Tuesday.

Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Nirupam said that ‘he was stabbed with a two and a half inch knife and he had to undergo surgery, but after four days Saif was discharged from the hospital and came back to his home almost jumping. It was as if nothing had happened. Is it possible to recover so quickly? While talking to a media channel, Sanjay Nirupam said that ‘We all want Saif to get well soon. When the attack happened it affected the entire Mumbai city. Questions were raised on the efficiency of the government.
Doubt expressed over non-availability of CCTV footage of the hospital
The Shiv Sena leader also raised questions on the absence of CCTV footage of the hospital. He said that the hospital claims that when Saif was admitted to the hospital, he was soaked in blood, but where is the CCTV footage of when he reached the hospital? Can a small child take his father to the hospital in such a condition? There are eight employees working in Saif’s house, so how did such a big attack happen on Saif? Sanjay Nirupam also raised questions on the police investigation and called the entire matter suspicious.
Questions raised on police investigation
Sanjay Nirupam said that ‘the police investigation is also under question. Police arrested three different accused in three days. The accused is being claimed to be a Bangladeshi. The police investigation is also raising doubts. This matter should be investigated clearly so that it can be known what actually happened. After the attack on Saif Ali Khan, questions were also raised about the security of the country’s financial capital Mumbai. Opposition leaders tried to corner the Mahayuti government on the issue of law and order. However, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis had rejected the allegations outright and said that it is not right to call the entire Maharashtra or Mumbai unsafe due to one incident.
It is noteworthy that on January 16, a person entered his house in Bandra, Mumbai and attacked Saif Ali Khan with a knife. Saif was badly injured in this attack and he was immediately taken to the hospital, where he underwent surgery. Saif was discharged after treatment on Tuesday (January 21). The accused of attack on Saif has been identified as Mohammad Shariful Shahzad, who has been arrested. Police claim that the accused is a Bangladeshi citizen and had entered India illegally.
