Guidelines issued regarding Mahakumbh
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has given necessary guidelines while reviewing the arrangements of Mahakumbh in Prayagraj. On February 12, the CM has given several important instructions to the administration and police officers regarding the Magh Purnima bathing festival, so that the safety and convenience of devotees can be ensured at this world famous religious fair.
Number of shuttle buses should be increased: CM
The Chief Minister said that the traffic system should be managed in a better way, so that there is no queue of vehicles on the road and traffic jam does not arise anywhere. He directed that parking sites built on the border of Prayagraj should be used properly and do not enter the unauthorized vehicle fair premises under any circumstances. For this, the number of shuttle buses should be increased, so that devotees can easily reach the fair area from the parking lot. He also asked to cooperate with children, elderly and women.
Instructions regarding traffic movement
The Chief Minister also said that the coordination of traffic movement in Prayagraj and its associated districts should be maintained and barricading should be done to control the pressure of the crowd in the fair area. He also directed to contact the railway administration, so that the trains are constantly operating and the devotees can do their journey safely.
Asked to pay special attention to cleanliness
The Chief Minister also talked about paying special attention to cleanliness in Mahakumbh. He said that cleanliness should be maintained continuously at the fair area and confluence site, so that the devotees get a clean environment. In addition, police patrolling should be increased in the fair area and ensured the availability of essential services like cranes, ambulances.

Continuous monitoring on parking system
The Chief Minister asked the administrative officials to continuously monitor the crowd control, traffic management and parking system. He also instructed to maintain the arrangements for the event to be held on the occasion of Sant Ravidas Jayanti, so that all programs can be completed in peace and cordial atmosphere. He said, “It is our responsibility to take every devotee safely to their destination.”
Action against those who spread misleading information
Apart from this, the Chief Minister also talked about strict action against those who spread misleading information, so that the devotees and the general public can get the right information. The Chief Minister called the role of 28 administrative officers and police officers posted in Prayagraj as important and asked them to work with better coordination. During this time, he also talked about keeping all the routes of Prayagraj open and not putting any disturbance in traffic.
