Siddhant Chaturvedi won the hearts of people with his strong acting in films like ‘Inside Edge’ Series and ‘Kho Gaye Hum Kahan’, ‘Gully Boy’ and ‘Gahariya’. Born on 29 April 1993 in Ballia, Uttar Pradesh, Siddhant has made a special place in Bollywood on his own. Despite being outsider in Bollywood, they are giving a tough competition to StarKids. Not only this, Siddhant rejected Karan Johar’s offer 2 times before the start of his career. After this worked hard and became a star in Bollywood. Siddhant moved to Mumbai with his family when he was just 5 years old. While studying at Mithibai College, he started acting in theater and plays. After winning a popular fresh face competition, Siddhant decided to leave his final CA exam for the film audition. He even passed the audition for Brahmastra, directed by Ayan Mukherjee and starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, but after his father’s advice, he turned down the opportunity. He was also offered a deal of three films with Johar’s Dharma Productions, which was rejected by Siddhant.

The reason behind this is the reason behind this

In an interview with Humans of Bombay last year, Siddhant shared how his father suggested him not to sign Brahmastra. Siddhant says, ‘They were still writing scripts and I was excited. I could also do this, but my father did not let me do it. He said that you are better than this. They still push me forward. I was happy that I would get three films contract with Dharma. I met Ayan who showed me my perspective about Brahmastra. By then I had done only a few advertisements, so I was nothing. I told my father that the film consists of Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt. And Amitabh Bachchan and he asked me, ‘So who will see you?’ He said, ‘No son, I don’t think you should do this. Do you have a script? Have you auditioned for this? If you do not even know what you are going to do in that film, do not sell your luck. ‘

Blacklists did after rejecting movies

Siddhant further said that after rejecting many films, he was blacklisted from Bollywood. ‘The problem was not that I had no offers, but I knew that I wanted to be only a hero, wanted to play leading roles. I will act, I have worked hard on my art, but I wanted to make a big buzz. I was shortlisted for many films, which I turned down, saying that I do not think I can do justice to what I think. I was blacklisted, because people thought, ‘Who is not saying this person?’ I refused to play the side character, because I knew that I had a lot of ability. I did not want to sell myself at a low price. ‘

Debut with 250 crores film

In 2019, Siddhant made her Bollywood debut with Zoya Akhtar’s film ‘Gali Boy’. In which he played the role of rapper MC Lion. His strong performance gave him several awards and also won the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor. Along with this, Siddhant also won the Zee Cine Award for Best Mail Debut and Screen Award for Best Mail Debut. The 2019 musical drama, inspired by the Indian street wrappers Divine and Negi’s life, earned around Rs 250 crore worldwide. After refusing to work with Karan Johar in Brahmastra, Siddhant will appear next time in the romantic drama ‘Dhadak 2’, produced by Johar’s Dharma Productions. In this film, Trupti Dimri is going to be seen in the lead role with Siddhant. The film is the 2018 Dhadak’s spiritual sequel, starring Ishaan Khattar and Janhvi Kapoor.
