America’s newly elected President Donald Trump has threatened the BRICS countries regarding de-dollarization. Now Israel has also supported Trump on this issue and said that this is in the interest of the free world. Israeli Minister Nir Barkat said on Trump’s threat that I think this is in the interest of the free world. This is the right step and I don’t think India is going to be a part of any currency.

Dollar system in the interest of a free world

Israeli Minister Nir Barkat said, ‘I think this (trading in dollars) is in the best interests of the free world. This is a bold and smart move and I don’t think India is going to be part of any kind of currency, nor will Israel do anything like that. President Trump is creating such a geopolitical order and is in the interest of the West and democracies and is also defining who the bad guys, the enemy and the jihadists are. Iran, Qatar, proxy countries present in our region who are trying to destabilize peace. It is not only in Israel’s interest but also in the interest of the free world that we unite.

It is noteworthy that the member countries of BRICS group (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa) are exploring the possibility of alternative to dollar for international trade. India is also a member of BRICS. Recently, America’s newly elected President Trump has warned the BRICS countries that his government will impose heavy tariffs against countries challenging the dominance of the dollar. Trump described de-dollarization as having far-reaching consequences and presenting it as an economic war.

Israeli minister said- India-Israel will benefit

Nir Barkat said, ‘President Trump is linking his economy with geopolitics. In other words, if you are an opponent, you will have to pay heavy taxes, but if you are an ally, America’s doors are open for them. Both countries will benefit from (America’s) good relations with Israel and India.
