Handwritten Boarding Passes:
what did microsoft say
Microsoft said in a post on the social media platform ‘X’ that “the situation is improving.” However, even after hours, there were reports of increasing disruptions around the world. ‘Downdetector’, a website that monitors internet outages reported by users, said that services have increased in Visa, ADT Security and Amazon, and various airlines including American Airlines and Delta.
Impact seen around the world
In Australia, news outlets reported that airlines, telecommunications providers, banks and media broadcasters were unable to access their computer systems, disrupting their services. Some banks in New Zealand said they were also offline.
Microsoft 365 posted on X that the company was “working to redirect affected traffic to alternate systems to mitigate the adverse impact more quickly” and that they were “seeing positive trends in service availability.” The company has not yet responded to questions in this regard.
