Barbie phone was introduced in select global markets in August 2024 and is priced at $ 129 (about Rs 10,800) in the US. However, in India it has been launched for Rs 7999. The HMD Barbie phone is equipped with a 2.8 -inch QVGA inner screen and a 1.77 -inch QQVGA cover display which also acts like a mirror. The phone has UNISOC T107 SoC which comes with 64MB RAM and 128MB onboard storage. Storage can be extended up to 32GB via microSD card.
The flip phone with HMD’s Barbie theme runs on the S30+ OS with a Barbie theme UI. This includes the Barbie theme Easter Eggs and the middle theme Malibu snake game. The keypad has a Barbie pink shade and has a palm tree, heart and flamingo motif hidden in the dark. When the power is turned on, the user is welcomed with “Hi Barbie” tone.
The HMD Barbie phone has a 1,450mAh removable battery which comes in a pink color option. It supports 4G, Bluetooth 5.0, 3.5mm audio jack and USB type-C connectivity. The phone has a 0.3 megapixel rear camera with LED flash. At this price, HMD’s Barbie phone can be a good option. Especially for those people like Barbie.
