New Delhi. Delhi Chief Minister Atishi honored the players of the state who won medals in the Olympic and Paralympic Games by giving them cash prizes. Five players who won medals in the Paris Paralympic Games 2024 were honored, including silver medal winning high jump para athlete Sharad Kumar who was given an award of Rs 2.5 crore. Freestyle wrestler and youngest Indian to win an individual Olympic medal, Aman Sehrawat won a bronze medal at the Paris 2024 Summer Olympics.
He was given a prize of Rs 1 crore. Walking athlete Vikas Singh, who won the silver medal in the Asian Championships 2023, will get Rs 10 lakh, Judoka Tulika Mann, who won the silver medal in the Commonwealth Games 2023, will get Rs 10 lakh and the person who won the gold medal in the 400 meters event in the Federation Cup Senior Athletics Championship in 2021 will get Rs. Indian sprinter Amoj Jacob was given a prize of Rs 5 lakh. Athletics coach Salaj Kumar Roy was also given Rs 10 lakh.
