City had registered their first win in seven matches by beating Nottingham Forest on Wednesday but were forced to share the points with this drawn match. City was trailing twice in the match but managed to make a comeback with goals from Erling Holland and Rico Lewis. Daniel Munoz and Maxence Lacroix scored for Crystal Palace.

Aston Villa beat last-placed Southampton 1-0 while Brentford won 4-2 against Newcastle. Against Manchester United, Forest took the lead in the second minute with a header from Nikola Milenkovic but Rasmus Hjolund scored the equalizer for United. Morgan Gibbs White and Chris Wood scored two goals in seven minutes in the second half to put Forest ahead 3–1. Bruno Fernandes scored a goal in the 61st minute to give the home team a comeback but it proved to be the last goal of the match.
