Rani tarabai bhosle: Aurangzeb’s dream was to win South India. For this, the powerful king of the Mughals left the throne of Delhi and left for South India in 1680 to conquer him towards South India. But it was not as easy for Aurangzeb to conquer South India as he thought. Aurangzeb came out of Delhi to win South but never returned to Delhi after winning South India.
In his south victory, the Maratha Empire stood in front of him like a rock. Apart from the Marathas, he encountered many powerful states and forces, due to which the entire Mughal army, including Aurangzeb, weakened and after the death of Aurangzeb, its collapse began.

Compete with Marathas
In the south victory of Aurangzeb, he encountered Chhatrapati Marathas. Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj established an independent Maratha kingdom to stop the Mughals. After Shivaji’s death, his son Sambhaji Maharaj took over the title of Chhatrapati and continuously challenged Aurangzeb. Aurangzeb caught Sambhaji Maharaj and killed him in 1689 in 1689. After killing Sambhaji Maharaj, Aurangzeb attacked a strong attack to end the Maratha Empire. But even after the death of Sambhaji Maharaj, the struggle of the Maratha Empire did not stop.
After Sambhaji, his brother Raja Rama was made the third Chhatrapati of the Maratha Empire and he continued the struggle of the Marathas against the Mughals. But Raja Ram also died at the age of only 30 years. After this, his wife continued the Marathas fight against Aurangzeb.
Tarabai Bhonsle
After the death of Chhatrapati king Ram, Tarabai Bhonsle, daughter -in -law of Shivaji Maharaj, saved the Maratha Empire from falling and continued the fight against Aurangzeb. The Mughals did not realize that Rani Tarabai Bhonsle would lead the Marathas so efficiently. After the death of Chhatrapati Raja Ram, he took over the name of his son Shivaji II. Rani Tarabai adopted the guerrilla war strategy against Aurangzeb’s Mughal army from 1700 to 1707, causing a lot of damage to the Mughals. In these 7 years of struggles, he again contributed significantly in strengthening the Maratha Empire. He also won Surat and Malwa. He died in 1761 at the fort in Satara, Maharashtra.
